• Uli Hoeness, 73, was rushed to hospital after suffering a burst vein during the “Green of 18” charity tournament at Miel Castle near Bonn.
• The golf day was put on by Telekom CEO Timotheus Hottges and attended by Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer.
• Hoeness, who has served Bayern for nearly 50 years as player, general manager and president, holds the club’s honorary president title.
• He left the hospital later the same day and is reported to be doing well under medical supervision.
