  • About seven in ten Ukrainians now favor negotiating a settlement to end the conflict as soon as possible
  • Support for fighting until outright victory has plunged from roughly three-quarters at the war’s outset to about one-quarter today
  • Only one-quarter of respondents believe active hostilities will cease within the next 12 months, while about 70 percent view that outcome as unlikely
  • Approval of U.S. leadership stands at 16 percent, down sharply from two-thirds three years ago, while approval of Germany’s leadership has risen to 63 percent
  • About one-third of Ukrainians expect NATO membership within the next decade and just over half foresee joining the EU in that timeframe
