Overview

• The stabbing occurred shortly after 11 a.m. Wednesday inside a Tusla-contracted emergency residential unit at the Grattan Wood apartment complex in Donaghmede.
• Gardaí have sealed the scene for forensic work, committed homicide inquiry resources, and say the incident is self-contained with no additional suspects sought.
• Two other teenagers were attacked during the incident, one of whom fought off the assailant, and a female care worker who intervened sustained minor injuries.
