Ukrainian Strike Kills Russian Actress and Soldiers in Donetsk Region

Russian actress Polina Menshikh was killed during a performance for Russian troops in occupied Ukraine when the venue was hit by Ukrainian shelling.
The strike, which took place in a dance hall in the village of Kumachove, Donetsk region, reportedly killed about 20 Russian soldiers and injured more than 100.
The Ukrainian military confirmed the strike, stating that it targeted a Russian military award ceremony.
The attack is said to be a 'revenge' strike for a Russian attack earlier this month on Ukrainian soldiers during a military awards ceremony, which resulted in 19 deaths.
Russian journalist Boris Maksudov also died after being wounded in a Ukrainian drone attack while reporting in the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia region.
