Ukrainian Refugee Children Flourish in UK Thanks to Scout Group

Artem and Yehor, young refugees from Ukraine, have found safety and growth through the Gosport Scout group.

Artem Horchuck and Yehor Kremnov, both six years old, arrived in Gosport, Hampshire, in 2022 after fleeing the conflict in Ukraine.
The children initially faced challenges with English but have become fluent through their involvement with the local Squirrels group, a branch of the Scouts.
Yehor's mother, Mila Kremnova, is grateful for the safe environment and normal childhood her son can experience in the UK.
The Scout group has provided essential social opportunities for both the children and their parents, fostering community connections.
Lisa Young, a lead volunteer, praises the boys' transformation into confident and active members of their community.
