Ukrainian forces, using a US-supplied Bradley infantry fighting vehicle, have successfully disabled a Russian T-90 tank, one of Russia's most advanced, in the Donetsk town of Stepove.
Drone footage released by Ukraine's 47th Mechanized Brigade shows the T-90 tank taking multiple hits from the Bradley's 25mm cannon fire before crashing into a tree.
Despite the T-90's resilience, the tank's crew eventually fled on foot, with two of them reportedly killed in action and a third captured by Ukrainian forces.
Experts suggest that the incident demonstrates that infantry fighting vehicles can engage and seriously damage modern main battle tanks.
Since the start of the war, Russia has reportedly lost 6,147 tanks, with some suggesting that Russia's focus on firepower and mobility over heavier, more protective armor is proving problematic.
