Ukrainian Councillor Detonates Grenades at Village Meeting, Injuring 26

Ukrainian local councillor Serhii Batryn detonated grenades at a village council meeting in Keretsky, western Ukraine, injuring at least 26 people, six of whom are in critical condition.
The incident occurred during a heated discussion about the council's 2024 budget and a proposed pay increase for the council's leader.
Batryn, a member of President Volodymyr Zelensky's Servant of the People party, had reportedly been in a feud with the village chief and was opposed to the pay increase.
Batryn was initially reported dead but was later resuscitated and is in serious condition.
The Ukrainian secret service (SBU) has opened a terrorism investigation into the incident.
