Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) has released images and video footage documenting the assassination of Ilya Kyva, a former Ukrainian lawmaker who defected to Russia.
Kyva, who had been labeled a traitor by Kyiv, was shot and killed in a park in the Odintsovo region near Moscow.
The SBU stated that the killing serves as a warning to 'all traitors and war criminals' who side with Russia, emphasizing that Russia will not protect them.
Kyva had been a member of Ukraine's parliament from 2017 to 2019, before fleeing to Russia ahead of the war in February 2022.
Kyva had been sentenced in absentia by a Ukrainian court to 14 years in prison for charges including treason and incitement to violence.
