Ukraine to Open Arms-Export Offices in Berlin and Copenhagen This Year

Kyiv aims to fund critical domestic production by selling select co-produced systems through new European offices.

Overview

  • President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said the new offices will manage co-production and sales to generate revenue for equipment Ukraine cannot currently finance at home.
  • Naval drones and certain artillery systems are identified for export, though some domestically built weapons will not be offered for sale.
  • Presidential adviser Oleksandr Kamyshin will handle EU contracts and lead the legal formalization of export agreements.
  • Ukraine plans to begin mass production of its Flamingo and Ruta missiles by year-end and targets output of 600–800 interceptor drones per day by late November.
  • Further talks on a U.S.–Ukraine drone deal are slated for next week, with conflicting accounts on whether a Ukrainian delegation travels to Washington or a U.S. team visits Ukraine.
