  • Drones targeted four airbases in Murmansk Oblast, Irkutsk Oblast and other regions up to 4,300 km from Ukraine’s front lines.
  • The long-planned assault was prepared over 18 months and used drones smuggled into Russia hidden in wooden structures on transport trucks.
  • Russia confirmed multiple aircraft fires at the Olenia and Belaia bases, reported no casualties and said it arrested suspects linked to the attacks.
  • Ukrainian and Russian delegations met in Istanbul on June 2 to negotiate a complete, unconditional ceasefire and the return of Ukrainian detainees.
