• Ukraine’s military intelligence said special forces used a Ukrainian-made combat drone on September 10 to hit the MPSV07-class vessel as it conducted electronic surveillance near the approaches to Novorossiysk Bay.
• The strike targeted the bridge area and destroyed the ship’s electronic warfare equipment, leaving the vessel inoperative with costly repairs expected, according to the DIU.
• Officials described the MPSV07’s capabilities as including diving complexes, remotely operated vehicles, side-scan sonar and electronic warfare systems; the ship was commissioned in 2015 and is valued at about $60 million.
