Overview
- Ukraine's Air Force reported Russia launched Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other UAVs from Millerovo, Kursk, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk and occupied Donetsk, with about 75 identified as Shahed loitering munitions.
- Ukrainian officials said 16 drones struck 11 locations and debris from downed UAVs fell in two locations.
- Ukraine said aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare teams, unmanned-systems units and mobile fire groups took part in the overnight defense.
- Russia’s Defense Ministry said its air defenses intercepted 99 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over multiple areas, including 29 over Belgorod, 12 over Kursk, four each over Rostov and Astrakhan, two over Crimea, 47 over the Black Sea and one over the Sea of Azov.
- The latest salvo followed a separate attack the previous night that Ukraine said involved 76 drones, with 53 destroyed or jammed and 19 recorded hits across nine locations.
