Ukraine Says It Downed 96 of 115 Drones in Night Barrage as Russia Claims 99 Interceptions

Officials describe layered defenses during parallel cross-border drone activity.

  • Ukraine's Air Force reported Russia launched Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other UAVs from Millerovo, Kursk, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk and occupied Donetsk, with about 75 identified as Shahed loitering munitions.

  • The latest salvo followed a separate attack the previous night that Ukraine said involved 76 drones, with 53 destroyed or jammed and 19 recorded hits across nine locations.
