Ukraine Says Drones Hit Crimea Chemical Plant, Cut Power in Krasnoperekopsk

The claimed strikes reflect Kyiv's push to degrade Russian logistics through long-range drone operations.

Overview

  • Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces commander Robert Brovdi said operators from the 14th Regiment, known as the Birds, struck the Brom chemical plant in occupied Krasnoperekopsk.
  • Brovdi also claimed a key power substation in the area was hit, describing resulting outages at several energy facilities on the occupied peninsula.
  • He posted footage of a drone approaching the plant dated Nov. 21 and said the nights of Nov. 22 and 23 were loud, indicating continued operations.
  • The reports come from Ukrainian military sources and were not independently verified at the time of publication.
  • The Brom facility produces bromine and related salts and has historic ties to military supply, which Ukraine frames as part of Russia's defense-industrial base.
