Overview
- Ukraine’s General Staff recorded an unusually high single-day toll of 207 combat engagements and said enemy forces launched 54 air strikes, dropped about 173 guided bombs, used roughly 6,035 kamikaze drones, and carried out 2,088 artillery and rocket strikes.
- The fighting was most intense on the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole directions where commanders reported dozens of separate attacks and several ongoing clashes near frontline villages.
- Ukrainian units said they repelled many assault attempts, destroyed large numbers of enemy drones and equipment, and provided preliminary tallies of enemy personnel losses and depot and vehicle strikes on the Pokrovsk sector.
- Analysts and mapping projects warn that Kostiantynivka has become an acute local flashpoint with Russian forces pressing close to the town and commentators saying its loss could follow without changes to the tactical picture.
- Independent trackers and ISW show that despite the recent intensity, Russian territorial gains since December 2025 have been limited to about 40 square kilometers, signaling heavy fighting but only modest net change in held ground.
