Ukraine Reports 3 Million FPV Drones Supplied to Its Armed Forces in 2025

Officials credit domestic manufacturing plus a new DOT-Chain procurement system for accelerating deliveries.

Overview

  • The Defence Procurement Agency delivered 2.4 million FPV drones this year, mostly through direct contracts with manufacturers.
  • An additional 200,000 UAVs were supplied via the DOT-Chain digital platform, which launched in late July.
  • Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal said the vast majority of drones in service are produced inside Ukraine.
  • Nearly 15,000 ground robotic systems were fielded in 2025, tripling last year’s total for tasks such as logistics, evacuation, reconnaissance, mine-laying and clearance, and patrolling.
  • Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi reported that drones account for roughly 60% of strikes on Russian targets, with 81,500 targets destroyed or damaged in November.
