Ukraine Reports 127 Frontline Clashes as Russia Mounts New Night Drone-Missile Barrage

  • The General Staff said Russia used 25 missiles, 248 guided aerial bombs, and 7,503 kamikaze drones, alongside 3,720 shellings including 112 MLRS strikes, while Ukrainian rocket and artillery units hit five Russian concentration areas.
  • Ukraine’s Air Force reported a mass overnight attack from January 24–25 using two ballistic missiles and 102 strike drones from multiple directions, with air defenses downing or suppressing 87 drones and details on the two missiles still being clarified.
  • Air Force communications chief Yurii Ihnat said Russia employed 12 Kh-22 missiles in the prior night’s strike on Kyiv and that nine were shot down, noting these high-speed anti-ship missiles are difficult to intercept.
  • Local authorities reported casualties from the strikes, including one person killed and four wounded in Kyiv and 19 wounded in Kharkiv after drone attacks.
