Ukraine Reports 110 Clashes as Fighting Peaks on Pokrovsk–Mirnograd Axis

Russian strikes on energy facilities are leaving frontline regions with prolonged outages.

  • Ukraine’s General Staff recorded 110 combat engagements on December 23, including 29 Russian assaults on the Pokrovsk sector and heavy activity near Kostiantynivka.
  • On the Pokrovsk axis, Ukrainian forces reported about 62 Russian personnel eliminated and multiple systems destroyed, including drones, vehicles and artillery.
  • Radio Svoboda, citing the DeepState map, reported the Mirnograd garrison is defending under operational encirclement with the city effectively in a grey zone.
  • The General Staff said Ukrainian troops withdrew from Siversk to preserve units yet maintain fire control over the town and continue striking occupying forces and logistics.
  • The Ministry of Energy reported long-term blackouts in frontline and border areas and noted roughly 4,500 attacks on energy infrastructure this year, while Chornobyl’s director warned the damaged New Safe Confinement could fail under another strike and needs three to four years of repair.
