Ukraine Puts Russian Combat Losses at 1.12 Million as 231 Clashes Reported in 24 Hours

  • The General Staff reported 1,090 Russian personnel losses over the past day, bringing the cumulative figure to about 1,116,340 since Feb. 24, 2022.
  • Ukrainian forces said they repelled 57 attacks in the Pokrovsk sector, the heaviest pressure along the front during 231 engagements.
  • Russian forces launched 53 missiles, 56 airstrikes with 130 guided aerial bombs, 5,490 kamikaze drones, and 4,063 shelling attacks, including 121 from multiple launch rocket systems.
  • The update listed cumulative equipment losses, including 11,235 tanks, 23,313 armored combat vehicles, 33,464 artillery systems, and 67,226 tactical-level drones.
  • The General Staff said the figures are being verified, and Reuters separately reported a U.S. State Department cable estimating 1,000 to 5,000 Cuban fighters serving with Russian forces.
