Ukraine Logs 213 Battles as Russia Presses Pokrovsk and Lyman, Kyiv Confirms Strike in Cheboksary

Kyiv says further talks with Washington are expected soon to refine a peace framework backed by security guarantees.

  • The General Staff reported 213 combat engagements on November 26, including 66 airstrikes with 162 guided bombs, 4,013 shelling incidents and 4,388 kamikaze drones used by Russian forces.
  • Fighting was heaviest on the Pokrovsk, Lyman and Kostiantynivka axes, with 57, 44 and 31 Russian assaults respectively; Ukrainian forces also repelled 22 attacks near Huliaipole and 16 on the Oleksandrivka sector.
  • Ukraine confirmed an overnight strike on the VNIIR-Progress plant in Cheboksary, a producer of GNSS receivers and Kometa antennas used in Shahed drones, Iskander and Kalibr systems, with damage still being assessed.
  • Regional authorities reported four civilians killed and 24 injured across six frontline oblasts, with additional drone attacks damaging a school and homes in the Kherson area and one police officer previously wounded on November 24 reported dead in hospital.
  • Ukraine’s foreign minister said new contacts between U.S. and Ukrainian negotiating teams are expected soon, as E3 leaders backed security guarantees for a just peace, and the SBU announced the arrest of an FSB-recruited agent accused of directing strikes on Nikopol.
