Regional officials report power and heat disruptions after extensive air-defense engagements.

Overview

  • Russia’s Defense Ministry said its forces advanced on several fronts, claiming up to 130 Ukrainian troops killed in the Donetsk sector, up to 95 in the “Dnepr” zone, and up to 50 near Kupyansk, and reported the capture of Rybnoe in Zaporizhzhia with control over more than two square kilometers.
  • The ministry reported 15 Ukrainian drones shot down over Crimea, the Black Sea and Rostov Region, while the Rostov governor said additional UAVs were destroyed or suppressed over Kamensk‑Shakhtinsky and Myasnikovsky without casualties.
  • Belgorod’s governor reported serious damage to electricity and heating networks after a strike, with more than 20,000 residents temporarily without power and additional damage to vehicles and garages but no injuries.
  • Voronezh authorities said several drones were suppressed by electronic warfare, a fire at a utility facility was quickly extinguished, temporary power cuts and heating fluctuations were resolved, and the drone‑attack alert was lifted after roughly seven hours.
  • Ukraine’s digital services map showed air‑raid alerts in Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy and Chernihiv regions, and in a separate development Louisville’s mayor said the MD‑11 cargo crash death toll reached 13 as investigators analyze data from a recovered recorder.
