Kyiv is targeting export and reserve nodes to erode Russia's oil revenues, weakening military logistics.

Overview

  • Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed overnight strikes that set fires at the Tuapse oil refinery, damaged its primary processing unit, and hit other complex installations.
  • The military reported confirmed damage to two loading-pier berths at the Tamanneftegaz terminal on the Taman Peninsula, with port infrastructure put out of action.
  • Ukrainian forces said drones struck Rosrezerv’s Temp oil depot in Rybinsk north of Moscow, where a large fire was observed and the extent of damage is being assessed.
  • Russian regional authorities in Krasnodar Krai reported two injuries in Tuapse, a damaged port berth, refinery equipment burned over roughly 300 square meters, a gas pipeline hit, and residential damage.
  • The Dec. 31 operations cap a month of intensified attacks on Russian energy infrastructure, with Bloomberg tracking at least 24 such strikes in December.
