Ukraine Criticizes HBO for Casting Pro-Russia Actor in 'The White Lotus'

Serbian Actor Miloš Biković, Banned from Ukraine, to Star in HBO's Hit Series Amid Controversy

Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has criticized HBO for casting Serbian actor Miloš Biković in the third season of 'The White Lotus', accusing him of supporting Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Biković, who was awarded Russian citizenship in 2021, has been banned from entering Ukraine since 2019 due to national security concerns.
The actor has starred in several Russian films and has publicly expressed his admiration for Russian culture.
In 2018, Biković was awarded the Pushkin medal by Russian President Vladimir Putin, one of Russia's top cultural honors.
The third season of 'The White Lotus' is set to begin filming in Thailand next month.
