Ukraine and Croatia Deepen Defense Cooperation With New Aid and Procurement Frameworks

  • Zelenskyy thanked Croatia for a 14th military aid package already allocated and said a 15th is planned by the end of the year.
  • The leaders discussed implementing PURL projects focused on air-defense assets and using the SAFE mechanism to purchase U.S. weapons.
  • Earlier the same day, the countries’ defense ministers signed a Letter of Intent to deepen cooperation in the defense industry.
  • Ukraine sought Croatia’s experience on veteran policy, and Anušić took part in the International Veterans Conference held this month in Split.
