- UKHSA urged people on X to remain at home for 48 hours after vomiting or diarrhoea stop because they can still spread norovirus.
- NHS says key symptoms appear suddenly and include nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea, with possible fever, headache, stomach pain and body aches.
- Transmission occurs via the faecal–oral route through close contact, contaminated surfaces, food or water, and handwashing with soap and water is advised over alcohol gels.
