UK Student Arrested at LAX with Meth-Soaked T-Shirts in Luggage

Myah Saakwa-Mante was detained after attempting to board a flight to Australia with shirts allegedly infused with methamphetamine.

Myah Saakwa-Mante, a 20-year-old university student from the UK, was intercepted at Los Angeles International Airport on November 2.
Customs officials discovered 13 T-shirts soaked with methamphetamine, hidden under the lining of her suitcase.
The shirts, purchased from a Target store, weighed approximately 28 pounds due to the drug infusion.
Saakwa-Mante claimed ownership of the suitcase and the shirts but denied any knowledge of the methamphetamine.
She has been charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and remains in federal custody.
