UK Poll Finds Many Adults Struggle to Name Common Birds as 'Nestflix' Campaign Debuts

Many blamed screen time for losing touch with wildlife.

  • The OnePoll survey of 2,000 UK adults, published Thursday, found one in four were unsure they could tell a robin from a red kite.
  • Respondents most often missed familiar species such as barn owl, pheasant, blue tit, kestrel, starling and heron.
