- Statutory Shared Parental Pay is set at £187.18 a week or 90% of average weekly earnings, whichever is lower, capping monthly support around £748
- Parents may split 50 weeks of leave and 37 weeks of pay into one continuous block or divide it into multiple periods taken together or staggered
- Birth parents must have at least 26 weeks’ continuous service by the 15th week before the due date, earn a minimum of £125 weekly and meet specific work-and-pay conditions
