- Private buyers can purchase fireworks from registered sellers only between December 26 and 31, and local councils may set additional rules.
- Only over‑18s may buy consumer fireworks in categories F2 and F3, while category F4 display fireworks are restricted to professionals.
- It is illegal to set off or throw fireworks in streets, on highways or in other public places.
