Overview

  • British nationals remain eligible for 60-day visa-free stays extendable by 30 days but must meet new entry requirements.
  • From May 1, 2025, all foreign visitors are required to complete and submit a digital arrival card online before reaching Thailand.
  • Tourist visa applicants now must demonstrate access to at least 20,000 Thai baht via bank statements or sponsorship letters.
  • Overstaying carries fines of 500 baht per day up to 20,000 baht, possible detention, deportation at one’s own expense and up to a 10-year re-entry ban.
  • Travelers should hold passports valid for six months beyond arrival, include a blank page and use the same document if entering and exiting as dual nationals.
