UK Faces Severe Weather With Heavy Rain and Strong Winds

The Met Office has issued yellow warnings for rain and wind, predicting potential flooding and travel disruptions across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

Heavy rain is expected to bring up to 80mm in six hours to parts of Wales and England, prompting yellow weather warnings from the Met Office.
The warnings cover large areas including the South West, North West, and the Midlands, with isolated thunderstorms and lightning also possible.
Northern Ireland is also under a rain warning, with potential for 50-80mm on high ground, particularly in the Mourne Mountains.
Strong winds are forecast for the weekend, with gusts possibly reaching 80mph in parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland, posing risks of damage and travel disruption.
Despite the inclement weather, temperatures could rise to 20°C in some southern areas, above the seasonal average.
