UK Court Approves Extradition of Colorado Mother Accused of Killing Two Children

Kimberlee Singler, charged with the murder of her two youngest children and attempted murder of her eldest, is set to be extradited pending a final decision by the British Home Secretary.

Kimberlee Singler, 36, is accused of fatally shooting and stabbing her 7-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter in Colorado Springs in December 2023.
She also faces charges of attempted murder after her 11-year-old daughter survived a knife attack and later implicated Singler in the killings.
Singler fled to the UK during the investigation but was arrested in London on December 30, 2023, by British authorities.
A London judge rejected her extradition challenge, citing mechanisms in Colorado law that could allow for sentence review, despite her claim that life without parole violates human rights.
The case now moves to British Home Secretary Yvette Cooper for a final decision, with Singler expected to appeal further to higher courts.
