UK Ambassador to Mexico Dismissed After Gun Incident with Staff

Jon Benjamin was removed from his post following a video showing him pointing an assault rifle at an embassy employee during an official trip.

The incident occurred in April during a visit to the cartel-heavy states of Sinaloa and Durango.
A video of the event was posted on social media by an anonymous user, sparking widespread criticism.
The UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office stated they have taken 'appropriate action.'
Benjamin, a career diplomat, has not commented on the incident.
Rachel Brazier has been appointed as charge d’affaires at the embassy since April.
