Overview

  • Standalone demographic updates now cost Rs 75 (up from Rs 50) and biometric updates cost Rs 125 (up from Rs 100), with the revised rates effective through September 30, 2028.
  • Mandatory biometric updates are free for ages 5–7 and 15–17, and charges for ages 7–15 are waived until September 30, 2026 to reduce pending updates.
  • Demographic changes completed together with a biometric update are free of charge, and issuance of a new Aadhaar number continues to be free.
  • Doorstep Aadhaar services are priced at Rs 700 for the first resident and Rs 350 for each additional resident at the same address, plus applicable standard fees.
  • A further scheduled revision from October 1, 2028 to September 30, 2031 will raise Rs 75 services to Rs 90 and Rs 125 services to Rs 150, and demographic updates via the myAadhaar portal are reported free until June 14, 2026.
