Overview
- The myAadhaar portal now supports online updates of name, address, date of birth and mobile number using OTP sent to the phone linked with Aadhaar, while fingerprints, iris and photo updates still need a visit to a centre.
- Information provided for demographic changes will be cross-checked automatically against records such as PAN, passport, driving licence and ration card to reduce manual processing.
- New charges take effect today: Rs 75 for demographic edits, Rs 125 for biometric updates and Rs 40 for reprints, with age-based free biometric windows and free online document uploads until June 14, 2026.
