Ugandan Military Helicopter Crashes into Civilian Home, Killing Three

A Ugandan military helicopter crashed into a house in the western district of Ntoroko, near the Congo border, killing both crew members and a civilian inside the house.
The helicopter was on its way to Congo to fight against the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), an extremist group allied with the Islamic State organization.
The cause of the crash is suspected to be bad weather, a common explanation given by the Ugandan military for similar incidents in the past.
In September 2022, two Ugandan military helicopters crashed in eastern Congo, resulting in the death of 22 Ugandan soldiers.
The ADF has been accused of launching deadly attacks on civilians in Uganda and remote parts of eastern Congo.
