UFC Champion Sean Strickland Holds Domestic Violence Suspect at Gunpoint
Strickland intervened when the suspect, fleeing from a security guard, attempted to hide at his house after an alleged assault.
- UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland held a man at gunpoint who was allegedly involved in a domestic violence incident and tried to hide at his house.
- The suspect had been seen 'stomping out a girl' and fled in his car, hitting a curb and shredding his tire before attempting to hide at Strickland's property.
- Strickland, who initially thought the man was trying to steal his car, followed him into the street and held him at gunpoint until police arrived and arrested the suspect.
- This is not the first time a UFC champion has thwarted a suspect; Jon Jones stopped an attempted burglary in 2020 by chasing the person with a shotgun.
- Strickland won the UFC middleweight title by defeating Israel Adesanya at UFC 293 in September and is scheduled to make his first title defense in January.
