Overview
- The 24-team event runs June 9–July 9, 2028 across nine venues in four nations, with more than three million tickets to be made available.
- Quarter-finals will be played in Cardiff, Dublin, Glasgow and London, with both semi-finals and the final at Wembley, while every venue except Wembley hosts a round-of-16 tie.
- Host nations will take part in regular qualifying, with two places reserved for the highest-ranked hosts that do not qualify directly, and qualified hosts are slated to play group matches on home soil.
- If Wales qualify, the opening match is set for Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, and England’s first group game is scheduled for Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium before subsequent group fixtures at Wembley.
- Northern Ireland is not a match host after Casement Park’s redevelopment stalled, but Belfast will stage the qualifying draw on 6 December 2026.
