UEFA Allows Linked Clubs to Compete in Europe Under Strict Conditions

UEFA will allow Aston Villa, Brighton, and Toulouse to participate in European club competitions despite their owners having connections with other clubs that have qualified for Europe.
Villa and Brighton were at risk because their owners also had stakes in other clubs that finished higher in their respective leagues.
UEFA has imposed restrictions and changes to prevent transfers, loans, cooperation on commercial deals, and sharing of scouting databases between the clubs involved.
