Uday Kotak and Family Set Indian Real Estate Record With ₹202 Crore Mumbai Purchase

The deal set a national record for residential property at ₹2.71 lakh per square foot, surpassing previous benchmarks in Mumbai's luxury real estate market.
The apartments, totaling 7,418 sq ft, are located on the ground, first, and second floors of the building, offering panoramic views of the Arabian Sea.
The family paid over ₹12 crore in stamp duty and a registration fee of ₹3.60 lakh for the transactions, finalized on January 30, 2025, except for one registered in September 2024.
This acquisition adds to the Kotak family's existing real estate portfolio in the area, including a bungalow purchased in 2018 for ₹385 crore.
