Uckfield Woman Charged in Attempted Murder and Poisoning of Two Children

Jilumol George faces court following emergency response to a distress call in East Sussex.

Jilumol George, 38, has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and two counts of administering poison with intent to endanger life or inflict grievous bodily harm after a suspected poisoning incident in Uckfield, East Sussex.
The victims, two children aged nine and 13, along with George, were taken to hospital for treatment following the emergency services' response to a property in Hunters Way.
George appeared at Brighton Magistrates' Court on Saturday and was remanded in custody to appear at a crown court on March 8.
Sussex Police have reassured the local community that this is an isolated incident and there is no wider risk to the public.
