UCF Unveils 'Mission IX: HyperSpace' Uniforms for Nov. 7 Space Game vs. Houston

The design spotlights UCF's HyperSpace Center, reflecting Air Force–aligned hypersonics research.

Overview

  • The uniforms will debut on Nov. 7 at Acrisure Bounce House Stadium when the Knights host Houston.
  • A helmet stripe depicts a Mach diamond to reference high-speed combustion seen in hypersonic propulsion experiments.
  • The back bumper carries “Citius Est Futurum” from the Mach 10 Oblique Detonation (MXOD) program, and a jersey patch represents the HADES hypersonic wind tunnel.
  • Now in its ninth year, the Space Game uniform keeps the light blue, white and black palette, adds hyperspace-styled numbers, and uses a “SPACE U” wordmark on the pants.
  • UCF underscores student involvement in HyperSpace with 40 undergraduates and 25 graduate students working under Professor Kareem Ahmed.
