Overview
- UCF revealed the 10th-anniversary 'Mission X' Space Game uniforms Tuesday and will debut them at the Acrisure Bounce House on Oct. 30 when the Knights host Baylor.
- The all-white designs reference Project Mercury, Project Gemini and the Apollo program with a Canaveral blue collar, reflective silver trim, black stitching, blue and red sleeve accents, a red helmet stripe and a chrome facemask.
- The university announced that Mission X patches, helmet decal sheets and other commemoratives go on sale beginning Oct. 5 and that authentic game-worn jerseys will be auctioned noon-to-noon from Oct. 20 through Nov. 2.
- UCF framed the reveal as a celebration of its 1963 founding as Florida Technological University and its pipeline to the space program, citing that roughly 29% of Kennedy Space Center employees are UCF alumni and that faculty and students have worked on hundreds of NASA projects.
- The Space Game tradition, started in 2017, has become a major branding and fan-engagement moment for UCF — the Knights are 8-1 all-time in Space Games — and the new rollout is likely to drive merchandise interest and alumni visibility around home games and nearby rocket launches.
