Ubisoft Releases Final Major Update for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced

The final patch closes Resynced’s major support as the game’s sales are positioned to shape Ubisoft’s future remake decisions.

Overview

  • Version 1.0.8 went live on Tuesday, October 27 at 7:00 a.m. PT / 10:00 a.m. ET on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC and is described by Ubisoft as the game’s last major content update.
  • The update adds New Game+, which carries over most player progression and items while letting players run up to five additional playthroughs with rising world difficulty.
  • New Game+ introduces a mode‑exclusive currency called Escudos that can be earned in NG+ and bought by exchanging Reales at the General Store for NG+‑only outfits and items.
  • A new Nightmare Mode makes combat harsher by increasing enemy damage to 1.8x, tightening parry timing, removing the one‑shot safety and changing stealth, naval and environmental threats.
  • Patch 1.0.8 also adds hidden community chests, original takedown animations, new cosmetics and a long list of bug fixes, and Ubisoft will give a broader franchise update on October 29 with no major reveals planned.
