Ubisoft Announces New Prince of Persia Game Developed by Evil Empire for Steam Early Access

A new Prince of Persia game, titled 'The Rogue Prince of Persia,' is being developed by Evil Empire, known for their work on Dead Cells, and is set to release in Steam Early Access later this year.
The game represents Ubisoft's first day-one Steam release since 2019 and is rumored to be a roguelite that will receive constant free updates based on community feedback.
Evil Empire previously took over post-launch development for Dead Cells, and after concluding their work with its final update, they teased moving on to 'something shiny and new,' which is now believed to be this Prince of Persia project.
The game has been in development for four years, following discussions between Evil Empire and Ubisoft at GDC 2019, and takes artistic inspiration from Franco-Belgian comics.
The Sands of Time remake is still in development, and Ubisoft released another Prince of Persia game, 'The Lost Crown,' earlier this year to rave reviews.
