• The feature lets women request a female driver, while women drivers can opt to receive trips only from women.
• Available in Berlin, Munich and Frankfurt since May 22, the pilot has coincided with more female drivers at partner operators, according to Uber.
• Riders choosing the option wait about 10 minutes on average versus roughly five minutes for other trips, Uber told dpa.
