UAE Temperatures Slip as NCM Flags Dusty Winds and Rough Seas

Showers remain possible in the north and east, with inland lows near 11°C.

  • The National Centre of Meteorology forecasts partly cloudy to cloudy skies on December 30, with rain limited to northern and eastern areas.
  • Daytime readings in Abu Dhabi and Dubai are expected around 19–25°C, with cooler nights across the country.
  • Internal and northern pockets could drop to about 11°C, while some platform forecasts indicate 10–13°C in spots such as Ras Al Khaimah and Hatta around January 1.
  • Northwesterly winds of 15–30 km/h, gusting up to 50–60 km/h, are set to raise dust and cut horizontal visibility.
  • Seas will be rough to very rough in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea, and NCM says no rain is currently expected on December 31 though New Year’s Eve will be windy with possible fog or mist early January 1.
