UAE Schools Rush Preparations as AI Baseline Test and Term Exams Loom

Diagnostic national AI testing coupled with a compressed exam calendar is forcing schools to reshape short‑term teaching to close learning gaps.

Overview

  • The national baseline assessment in artificial intelligence will be delivered electronically via the SwiftAssess platform to grades 5, 6, 9 and 10 on 27–28 October and its score will be used only for diagnosis not for term marks.
  • Schools have intensified targeted plans to finish curricula and close gaps using diagnostic and formative results, with mock exams scheduled for 18–20 November and final exam windows on 25–27 November and 7–11 December.
  • Administrations are asking families to coordinate on study timetables and ensure technical readiness, including bringing charged laptops for the AI test, so results can feed rapid, individualised interventions.
  • Dubai has received delegations for the 10th Arab Reading Challenge with the final at Dubai World Trade Centre on 29 October while Abu Dhabi has begun the final rounds of the Emirates International Quran Prize under federal patronage.
  • Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed ordered the launch of the ten‑point 'Document of Sheikh Zayed Principles in Falconry' as a reference for the 2026–2027 season and for presentation to the International Falconry Council.
