Overview
- Geelong and Tyson Stengle agreed to a mutual termination that was finalised with his management and the AFL Players' Association on Friday.
- The club confirmed Stengle did not play at AFL level in 2026 and spent periods on personal leave in South Australia while missing at least one VFL commitment.
- Stengle's remaining deal, reported to run for about three more years at roughly $700,000 a season, was settled as part of the separation.
- During his time at Geelong he played 93 games and kicked 160 goals, earned All-Australian selection and was a member of the 2022 premiership team, with his last game for the club the 2025 Grand Final.
- Both Stengle and Geelong issued conciliatory statements thanking each other, and the settlement closes his time at the club while freeing Geelong to move forward with its playing list.
