• Miami named six captains: Tua Tagovailoa, Aaron Brewer, Alec Ingold, Zach Sieler, Jordyn Brooks and Bradley Chubb.
• Hill, a captain from 2022 to 2024, was left out following last season’s Week 18 exit and subsequent apology.
• McDaniel said there was a sizable gap between the sixth and seventh vote-getters as the team reduced captains to six.
• Hill told reporters he does not need a title to lead and said he will continue to set the standard by example.
