Tyne Daly Withdraws from Broadway's 'Doubt' Due to Hospitalization, Amy Ryan Steps In

Oscar nominee Amy Ryan will replace Daly in the role of Sister Aloysius, with the production set to officially open on March 7.

Tyne Daly, known for her roles in 'Cagney & Lacey' and 'Judging Amy,' was unexpectedly hospitalized, leading to her withdrawal from the Broadway revival of 'Doubt: A Parable.'
Amy Ryan, Oscar-nominated actress for 'Gone Baby Gone,' will replace Daly in the role of Sister Aloysius, starting February 13.
Isabel Keating, Daly's understudy, has been performing the role since the first preview and will continue until Ryan takes over.
The production, directed by Scott Ellis and also starring Liev Schreiber, Quincy Tyler Bernstine, and Zoe Kazan, is set to officially open on March 7.
Daly is expected to make a full recovery, and the theater community has expressed support and well wishes for her quick return to health.
